刘学敏：帕特船长

　　我家的亲属里居然也有了跨国婚恋，可见这地球确是小成一个村子了。

　　帕特身上表现出来的修养和气质，让我由衷地对他产生了好感，我将他命名为“帕特船长”，因为他是远洋货轮上的经营总监，帕特很开心，我们不仅是准连襟，而且是好兄弟了。

　　因为一句英语都不会，我和帕特之间的交流，全靠小妻妹半生不熟的英格力士，而她跟大姐好几年没见，自然有说不完的家长里短。第二天晚餐，我们喝啤酒，我担心冷落了“国际友人”，我说帕特船长，我教你一句中文吧。帕特愉快地接受了我的建议，用诚恳的目光期待着我。我用普通话说了一句：哥——们——儿（重音“哥”的尾音是平着出去的）。帕特跟着我学：哥——们——儿。帕特学语言的能力极强，发音很标准。我又说：我再教你这个词用东北话怎么说：哥——们——儿（“哥”字的尾音向下滑）。帕特极其认真地跟我学：哥——们——儿！两位女眷轰然大笑，帕特的东北发音居然非常地道！“哥们儿”这句中国东北抚顺片区的方言，借着这个太平洋西南部岛国男人浑厚的嗓音，表现出极好的内涵和外延。于是，我们两个六十开外的老哥们儿，那个黑头发黄皮肤黑眼珠的，操着生涩的英格力士，另一个黄头发白皮肤蓝眼珠的，操着熟练的甚至带着点儿痞子气的东北话，举杯、碰杯、干杯：
